To celebrate the 2013 Philippines- Japan Friendship Month, the Embassy of Japan in cooperation with the Japan Foundation Manila, SM Cinema and SM Supermalls lined up a variety of exciting activities from July 20 to 21, 2013.
On Saturday, July 20, SM Mall of Asia Centerstage will host a J-Pop Anime Singing and Mini Cosplay Contest. After the activities, there will be a screening of the 90-minute anime film The Place Promised in our Early Days--a bittersweet story of friendship set against the backdrop of Japan's reunification after the American occupation of the Southern region.
On Sunday, July 21 at 11:30am and at 4:30pm, the full-length film 5 Centimeters Per Second will be screened at the Cinema 6 of SM Mall of Asia. The movie is a visual poetry about life and reality--with all the sadness and beauty of their transitory nature.
At 2:30pm, The Place Promised in our Early Days will have another run.
